Happy New Year everybody! I hope Santa was good to you over the Christmas break and you enjoyed it with your loved ones. With 2012 now upon us, it's safe to say the festive season is over and now it is time to knuckle down and get back to business!

We have training on Thursday in St Joey's at 6pm. Training lasts approximately 2 hours. We are always looking to add to our squad so if you are interested in playing for us, you are most welcome to join our training sessions.

Our league campaign should resume on the 14th January. Hopefully we'll be able to put together a decent run of results between now to the end of the season to see us climb the table!

Here is the latest league table! See you at training!

As a club fundraiser, we have organised a Last Man Standing (LMS) competition. It will start on Saturday 13th August.

Here are the basic rules of the Last Man Standing Competition:

  1. To enter the competition, you will have to pay €10 per entry. You can enter as many times you like.

  2. 55% of the total collected will be paid out as prizes with the remaining 45% going to St VDFC Development Fund.

  3. Register your entries by emailing stvincentsdfc@gmail.com The closing date is 12pm on 13th August.

  4. For each gameweek, simply select a Premiership team to win their match. You must email your gameweek selection to stvincentsdfc@gmail.com before the deadline, which is 2 hours before the kick off of the first match of the gameweek.

  5. You cannot pick the same team again (unless the competition lasts more than 20 weeks)

  6. If your selection wins their game, you're through to the next gameweek. If they lose or draw, you're out.

  7. Should you forget to make your selection in any week, you will automatically be assigned the first team that you have not yet selected in alphabetical order. Once a team is automatically selected, you will not have the ability to change the selection.

  8. Last man (or woman!) standing wins the prize money.

  9. Should two or more participants remain standing and all are eliminated in the same week, the Last Man Standing prize will be distributed equally among them.

  10. The competition is open to all club members & supporters

The St VDFC spreadsheet of LMS entries and selections can be found HERE. (Will be updated on a weekly basis)
