2010 a new year here for St. Vincents to makes it mark on the League. St. Vincents played Crumlin Celtic in which a few previous games had seen them climb top of the table. 1. Roy Keating 2. Rob Archer 4. Jamie Wilson 5. John Smyth 3. Timmy Doona 7. Jason Doyle 6. Ryan Bonass 8. Pat Maher 11. Jason Maguire. 9. Justin Smyth 10. Paul o Callaghan 12. Damien McMahon For John Smyth 13. John Greene For Jason Maguire 14. Ciaran Doyle For Justin Smyth First game in weeks but St. Vincents came out of the traps controlling the first 30mins moving the ball around and working as a team. Except for a few errors by players who seem to struggle with the pitch it was some of the best football they had played in a long time. Had a blatent penalty turned down we spurned a few more chances. Jason was working well wit Paul o Call on the left causing all sorts of problems and Pat Maher was making an impact in midfield. But after a couple of misplaced passes and errors St. Vincents were nervous with 10mins to go till half time, Crumlin took advantage of this with a long cross to back post seen free man just knock it back across to see it go in. Second half started the same nerves were on edge and internal arguing led to second goal conceded from Corner. St. Vincent took time to get back into game but failed to hit the target while doing all the pressing. Crumlin just soaked up the pressure and settled for the result.
